Education and TrainingAANP supports the education and training of individuals across the entire breadth of neuropathology, including the graduate student studying the molecular pathways that lead to neurodegeneration, the neuropathology fellow learning how to integrate morphologic and molecular data to diagnose gliomas, the young clinician who wants to maintain their American Board of Pathology certification, or the physician who has been practicing neuropathology for decades and simply wants to learn the latest advances in neuropathology. AANP supports the education and training of its members through a rich variety of educational opportunities, including a subscription to the Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology, the annual meeting, Teaching Rounds, and the Diagnostic Slide Session. AANP also supports Satellite Meetings at the Annual Meeting, which includes the AANP Scholar's Program. The AANP Scholar's Program is supported by an R13 Grant from the NIH*. The grant provides funding for 20 AANP Scholars to attend a three-year trainee career development workshop.*Research shared as part of the AANP’s annual meeting is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the NIH.
